Jean-Luc Szach

Cannabis Compliance & Permit Specialist

Jean-Luc brings a solid background in science and research to his position as one of our lead permitting and compliance specialists. Awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985, Jean-Luc went on to a 12 year career as a Law Librarian at Morrison & Foerster LLP. He is also our site map and building plan expert, where he brings to bear his draftsmanship skills learned during a 9 year career as a custom furniture craftsman.

Since 2018, Jean-Luc has been in the trenches, working directly with Inspectors from the Department of Cannabis Control, California Fish & Wildlife, Cal Fire, various County Code Enforcement Officers, various County Cannabis Departments, and various Planning & Building Departments, helping to mediate the best possible outcomes for any clients whose permits have been issued violations.

Jean-Luc has been at the forefront of obtaining Annual DCC licenses and County Permits for our clients. His presentation before a Local Planning Commission was instrumental in one client’s success in obtaining a cannabis cultivation permit.

Whether preparing a one hundred page Lake County cultivation application document, or trudging through the snow to assess Erosion Control measures, Jean-Luc has had a hand in almost all aspects of our cannabis clients’ permitting successes.
