Editte Dalya (“E.D.”) Lerman, better known as Edie, has been practicing law in California since 2006. Prior to starting her practice, Edie was an activist fighting for medical cannabis. She has tirelessly fought for patients & safe access and legal rights to medications, for children and parental rights in dealing with Child Protective Services relating to the use of cannabis, for Doctors and lawyers targeted due to their beliefs in cannabis, as well as business operators and farmers rights.<\/p>

Having started her career fighting for the rights of salmon trollers against the federal government, Edie has continued to fight against policies both local and federally that simply don\u2019t work for the people. Committed to keeping the industry alive, Edie has helped establish policy on both the local and state level, and has been an advocate towards deregulation.<\/p>

More recently Edie has been involved in Qui Tam Litigation, as well as Class Action, and disputes arising from the new commercial industry developing in California. Also, Edie\u2019s team has helped many farmers get the green light to grow either Hemp\/CBD or Cannabis on both the local and state level.<\/p>

Additionally Edie helps farmers and operators in creating contracts that are industry specific and tailored to meet the needs of her clients. Having been designated an Expert in Medical Cannabis by the American Bar association in 2014, Edie has spoken at many events across the country and has even attended international conferences on cannabis. She has advised State Assembly members regarding policy of cannabis on a state level and continues to fight for farmers and ancillary victims of the drug war in court.<\/p>

Nowadays, Edie manages Emerald Law Group daily operations and oversees the operations of her licensing clients as to regulatory compliance on both the local and state level. If licensing issues arise Edie and her team of experts are quickly able to mitigate any damages, control the situation and of course minimize any risk and loss to our clients.<\/p>
