Emotional costs. Time and energy costs. It can even cost you your health. And then there are the plain-old money costs.<\/p>\n<p>When two people are no longer peacefully united, and attorneys are involved, it&#8217;s not just the family members that suffer. Wallets and bank accounts incur a lot of damage too.<\/p>\n<p>As attorneys, we are stuck being part of that problem, but as people who care about our clients, we aspire to be part of the solution as well. We don&#8217;t want anyone going bankrupt as a result of family separation, and we also want to vigilantly protect our clients&#8217; interests. As such, we\u00a0 aim for equitable arrangements that can leave everyone feeling that they were treated fairly.
